Much of my time ends up being spent in front of a computer. I’m a tech guy, often working online, and when I have free time it’s easy to watch YouTube, play video games, or work on a website. I can create fast, and things are flexible.
Bookbinding is the opposite. It’s physical. Being off by a few millimeters can matter, and I can’t fix it as easily as code. Which is part of why I like it!
I bind books because I like books, because I like making things, and because in a world where so much of what I create is 1s and 0s behind a screen, it’s nice to make things I can hold.
